I love Georgia (and Georgiana, as another poster mentioned).
I do not like Georgette at all -- it reminds me of the ditzy blonde from the Mary Tyler Moore Show. I know that's not a current pop culture reference at all, so it's not one you need to take into consideration. But I still think it sounds dated, and I'm not a huge fan of "-ette" endings for formal names; they seem to take a strong name and trivialize it.
Samuel, Charlie, and Georgia sound fabulous together!
Love Georgia, it's on my short like. I'd like to like Georgette, but I get the Mary Tyler Moore reference from it too. Georgiana isn't bad, but Georgia is better imho.
I like Georgia. I don't really like Georgette. I love Georgeanne! And Georgianna is nice too.
For any of those, I love Georgie for a nickname. I'm very big on feminine full first names that have boyish nicknames (like Francesca/Frankie, Alexandra/Alex).
Wow...you know those moments where you look at a word too long, and it stops making sense? That's how I feel about Geog- after reading all these comments.
Anyways, I like Georgia best! Georgia is great...the others seem to be trying a bit too hard. Georgia is so adorable, but I love it with the nickname GiGi instead of Georgie.
Re: What are your thoughts on the names Georgia or Georgette for a girl?
I love the name Georgia.

I think Georgia is nice. I don't like Georgette and I really don't like Georgie as a nn.
I don't get calling Georgia Georgie as they both have two syllables and Georgie sounds like a boys name.
