My 15 month old just figured out how to climb out of his crib. He will be moving to a twin bed as soon as we can get a mattress. He sleeps great at night goes down at 8 and gets up at 8 no fuss. But he is refusing naps. He has always gone down at 1 and slept for 2-3 hours. This weekend he figured out how to escape the crib and hasn't napped since. He is awful cranky without a nap. What recommendations do you have to help me get him to sleep. I have convinced him to stay in the crib today but he is currently standing up screaming. Help please!
Re: Crib climbing= no nap
I'd put him in a sleep sack until you can get the twin bed set up. My son climbed out at 15 months if we didn't have a sleep sack on him. The sleep sack prevented him from getting his leg up.
Otherwise, I'd transition to the twin ASAP so that you don't have to make any ER trips.
