My LO was SO well when she came home from the NICU with sleeping, she would lay in her crib and put herself back to sleep. Until maybe a month or so ago. She will get laid in her crib when she is awake and he just screams. I know she is SO tired and she tries to fight it. I told myself I will not get into a habit of rocking her to sleep or letting her fall asleep in my arms or the swing... Last night I put her in the swing becuase that's where she naps (Maybe her nap times need to be switched over to her crib as well) but she didn't fight sleep as bad and fell asleep fast.

I broke my rule! What do you moms do for bed time and if you have a fighter of sleep? I hate to listen to her scream. I feel horrible and I am just not a cry it out type of person. I know it's needed to some extent, but I hate it.
Re: Fighting sleep
Same! I wouldn't mind rocking her, but she's not a fan of cuddling a lot. She likes her own space to fall asleep. The reason I didn't want to get into the habit is because I dont' want her to get used to going to bed that way. I don't mind her going in her swing to fall asleep, but what happens when she's too big for it... lol That's what I keep thinking about. When she gets too big she will have a harder time falling asleep. I guess I just need to use the method that best works for me now (which would be not listening to her scream because she doesn't like falling asleep in her room by herself) I think he likes to know I'm near her when she's falling asleep.
