I think she was strong and Cant imagine what it took for her to drop everything just to get away and bring that baby into this world.

  • I think a child's life is always worth fighting for.  So I applaud her choices, even though I know it wasn't in her right.

Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! • I believe that every child's life is worth fighting for. However, in the future, I hope that 'abortion clauses' in such agreements will have much more stringent requirements other than severe fetal abnormality which is extremely vague.

  • I think I am in the minority here. I think that the gestational carrier was in the wrong. She agreed to the contract by signing it and therefore agreed to abide by the biological parent's wishes. She could have not signed the contract based on her beliefs. It is a risk that every GC takes when they agree to this service.

Yeah, it sucky situation and the baby is lucky to have found a home but I don't think she did the right thing. It was not her child, therefore not her decision. After dealing with IF for many years it would be heart breaking to make the decision to terminate a much wanted pregnancy but I would have to think about the child's quality of life and the stresses that would be put on me and DH.
Pursing Domestic Infant Adoption through a local agency. In the meantime, our dog is our baby.  Bumping from Portland, Oregon.
