SIL has failed Drivers Ed 3 times. She is getting ready to take her fourth test this week and is hoping this one is the charm. I doubt it though...she is awful.
Anyhoo, MIL and FIL went out and bought her an older used car over the weekend to celebrate her (hopefully) finally getting her license. MIL got her another gift too...a car seat for her new vehicle. Nolan is the only child in our family and would obviously be the only one using it. I about lost my shiz. She will NOT be transporting my child.

Ummmmm...holly hell! I would have lost my mind...that is a pretty big leap to make on MIL's part...unless SIL hasn't told you something
Her main issue was whenever she saw someone on the side of the road, she would naturally drift towards them. Her last test, she jumped the curb and almost took out an entire cross-country track team running through a field. She does okay as long as she is on a blank canvas road with no other vehicles, buildings, or people around...because that happens all the time, right?

Haha! Doubtful. She is a little nuts. Pretty sure she just wanted to play mommy with my boy.

Holy cow. Even a brand new driver who aced the test on the first try would not be driving my baby around, let alone a teenager on her 4th try. She needs some road experience before she gets such valuable cargo!

I laugh, but that is a little scary. Pedestrians in your area should be warned.

For real. Instead of a car seat, they should have had a flashing magnetic sign for the roof of her vehicle made that says "I Jump Curbs. Watch Yourself."

Omg. You've got to be kidding me. She obviously needs more practice!!
MIL volunteered to watch Connor last Monday so the nanny could have a day off. She put a dirty diaper in his laundry hamper and I didn't find it until I switched the laundry from the washer to the dryer. So then I had to wash all those close again. She's done this before too, putting trash in his hamper.
She also put him in 18 month clothing, which is too big for him. I washed all of his 18 mo stuff and put it in the bottom drawer of his dresser because he'll grow into it in the next month or so. I can't figure out why she would bypass 4 drawers of 12 month clothes that fit to put him in a shirt that was too big and pants that were too long.
I'm laughing so hard right now at work. I'm sorry it's not at all funny but the way you put it was hilarious. My neighbor is 15 and is in driver's ed. I take her driving but I don't ever take her when DD is going to be in the car. Her mom watches DD when we go driving. She misses the baby stage and I have more patience for driving so it's a win-win for everyone. I would never let neighbor drive DD around and she sounds like she drives 100% times better than SIL.

Yowza!!!!
It would be funny to get her a little stuffed bear and say that you thought she'd want something to put in that carseat.
