I was so excited & nervous....but it was so easy & quick & effortless.
I don't even know why I'm posting; other than to just have a forum to talk about it with others who actually understand the process & all that we've been going through!
Anyone else on their first cycle of IUI?
The good news is that they did bloodwork/ultrasound yesterday (and Sat and Thurs).....and then again this a.m. right before IUI & the nurse said that I was actively ovulating (whereas yesterday at 10am I hadn't started to yet at all except for there being a tiny bit of fluid around my follicles which doctor says was indicative of ovulation coming soon).....
So that was exciting!
And now....the longest 2 weeks of my life begins

Re: First IUI this morning.....
We had our first IUI in January and our 2nd this month. I get SO nervous the morning of the appointment, but it's always no big deal at all. It goes by so fast!
Will your Dr. have you on progesterone supplements? Best of luck and I hope this 2 weeks flies by quickly for you! I know mine totally drag. Ugh.

Thanks, guys! Its so nice to have this place
Yes, doc prescribed Progesterone. I'm supposed to start it tomorrow night & take it at bedtime for 12 days.
I had 3 follicles that he thought were big enough and my biggest one was 28 as of yesterday.....so that was promising (at least based on what I understand of all of this craziness!).....
The nuttiest thing is that today is Cycle Day 20 for me.......and they witnessed ovulation on the u/s at 7am today. I just can't believe that I ovulate that late. IUI was originally scheduled for last Thursday. Then Saturday. Then Sunday. Lol....and then finally today.
So crazy!

Just curious if you are using OPKs or charting to know you ovulated late. I have been using digital CBE OPKs, and got a false positive yesterday (the smiley face). It was only cd8 for me, and my doctor ordered some labs to make sure I really didn't ovulate. Got the results today and I really didn't. I thought the digital OPKs were super accurate, but now I'm not so sure.

They have been monitoring me (and my follicles) super closely this cycle at the fertility doc's office. They did internal ultrasounds last Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun & then again Monday right before the IUI. So it was the nurses looking at the follicles still in tact right on the u/s screen every day up until yesterday & then looking at them and telling me that I was "actively ovulating" during my u/s yesterday. That is how I definitively know
I never really fully trusted those OPK tests, either
