How are you doing?  Congrats on the next step by the way - you got your smiley surge!  Woot!  Woot!  Where are you at with your EPP cycle?  I said I would be stalking you!  P.S.  I got AF today, which marks the start of doxy for DH and I.  Is this really happening?  Deep calming breath...yikes!

Hey ya! Congrats on your AF! That's pretty exciting.

We finished our doxy and yes, I surged a bit early, which isn't unusual for me. DH has his SCSA repeat deposit today and they're going to do a few things to rush the results so we'll get them before I'd need to start stims.

I called C.CR/M last Friday when everything jumped up a bit and they got me a new calendar and I talked to the business office too. Everything went super smoothly, everyone was friendly and helpful and I feel prepared for the next steps.

Our nurse was going to order my meds so I'm expecting a call from the pharmacies this week. I got some great donations from the OOP meds program here (what up! MM29 and any donators!) so I'm going to be all set up soon.

On a separate note, Mister D and I had a REALLY good conversation about "what if" stuff. Like what if the SCSA results are worse? Then the answer is DH wants to have surgery to get some good sperm out. Or what if we don't have any normals? Then we'll look into embryo donation (this was DH's suggestion and I was pleasantly surprised about his take on it and reasoning).

So I feel like I have some rocks to anchor myself to and my doubts about our ability to create normals has some kind of "answer" for our future paths.

Doxy is a funny thing.  So minor in comparison to the many other steps along the cycling way, but it marks the start of something we hope with all our might will turn out a precious little dream come true.  Oh, the emotions that come every step of the way with cycling! 

Overall, I feel pretty good about the cycle.  There is a long road ahead and I know I need to take it one realistic day at a time.  I certainly feel assured that I am in really good hands and if this is going to work - it is going to work with the great help of this clinic. 

DH and I had a similar "what if" talk and we agree there is a strong possibility this might be it for us with our OE's.  We have discussed both embryo donation as well as adoption as an alternative.  I think we will need a long vacation Cast Away style first and foremost, if this cycle fails.  There are so many hopeful scenarios that could play out though.  The best one being (fx) frozen embies for an FET.  I have also been in communication with the head of my local clinic where we are in final negotiations for financial reimbursement.  That could hypothetically help us fund another cycle.   

I think you have the right idea to have some rocks to anchor to, but I remain most hopeful for you and Mister D.  We are in great hands and I see this working for you.  I am sending all my best good luck SCSA wishes to you and Mister D!
