IMMS Monday

Any new happy thoughts to share on this quiet Monday?

GTKY: What's your all-time favorite Easter candy (from now or when you were a kid)?

Re: IMMS Monday

  • DS has discovered how to splash in the tub. Last night, he figured out that he could do it with both hands and both feet at the same time. He was in baby bath heaven!

GTKY: I love the big candy eggs that are kind of like a jelly bean on the outside with chewy, soft, white sugar cream in the center. I only really like the yellow ones, but I'll eat the others too. DH makes fun of me and says they are gross, but he likes whoppers and malted milk ball eggs, so there's no accounting for his taste. ;)

  • DD is a kisser. She turn and holds my face, then gives me big kisses on the cheek. I love it!

My favorites are the chocolate Easter eggs.

  • Jack learned how to clap!

My favorite Easter candy is definitely Reese's peanut butter eggs and Cadbury cream eggs! Yum!!

  • This makes me a horrible mother but last night DS was bouncing and jumping in his crib and he knocked his chin on the edge very clearly biting his tongue for the first time ever. It was so sad and so cute all at the same time his face just read, "I don't know what just happened there but it didn't feel good."

    I think I'm pregnant but haven't tested.
    I like Cadbury Truffle Eggs.
  • My MMS will be a pic this week - it was just too cute and she was hamming it up:

(got me again Target $1 spot!)

My favorite Easter candy are the Cadbury mini eggs (no filling) and the Starburst jelly beans.

  • Anja loves when we say grace before meals. She holds out her hands without us even grabbing for them. And when we say amen, she gets really excited and usually let's out a squeal. She LOVES dinner time the best.

My favorite candy has always been, and will probably remain, Mini Eggs. Usually by this time during the year, I've ate about half a dozen BIG bags by myself. I did cheat and buy one bag, and ate it in a day and a half, but I'm limiting myself to one more bag after Easter.

  • I was eating jelly beans last night and still had them in my mouth chewing them in bed. DS must've smelled them, so he started to pry my mouth open with his little fingers trying to get some. When that wasn't working, he opened his mouth as wide as possible and try to cover my mouth as he was going to eat my mouth...DH and died laughing!

My favorite Easter candy as a kid was robin eggs...and chocolate covered marshmallow bunnies! I love Easter candy, so many memories!

I'm going to be an attention whore and include photos. But today I'm smiling because I'm thankful that I am able to send Jess to a wonderful daycare where she can grow and learn. We had our parent-teacher conference this afternoon and they just went on and on about how smart she is, how she's developing right on track, and how much fun she is to have around. These are the pictures that they have up of her right now enjoying some activities. It almost makes me want to cry to think about how grown up she's getting.

thanks for including these pics...makes me more comfortable about the idea of day care seeing these...

  • Jack has what we call his "approving eyebrows." He wiggles them when he is happy or flirting. He has a favorite song (Anything Can Happen by Ellie Goulding) and they go crazy during that song.

and to second the sad but funny post- He poked his eye with a spoon (not very hard) but he looked so offended. I died.

GTKY- Bag of Cadbury eggs sitting in my cupboard have gone :P

  • Parker thinks that everytime I squirt water out of his rubber ducky in the bathtub that he is supposed to drink from it!  So everytime I start doing it, he opens his mouth really wide and leans closer to the stream!

He also thinks that he's supposed to open his mouth up really wide everytime the dogs come close to him... he basically offers his mouth to the dogs to clean him out.  It's gross and funny at the same time!!

GTKY - My favorite easter candy, as a child and still is now, are the peanut butter filled lambs from Gertrude Hawk.  I don't know why, but that shape specifically is my favorite.

  • Cadberry eggs of coarse!!  I love the commercials for them hehe
  • My sweet girl gets so excited when she can stand up on her own... She gets all proud, looks around and smiles so big at us.  It always makes me smile :)

My favorite candy no matter what time of year is Reese Peanut Butter Cups... At Halloween I don't remember what shape they come in, Christmas they are trees and at Easter they are eggs. Yup they are my favorite :) Hubby and i do like Starburst Jelly Beans as well though. I go to the grocery store after Easter because they are 50% off and I can usually find enough bags to last the entire year.... Last year while pregnant I bought 10 bags.. I think I went a little overboard :)

A great daycare is so important! DS goes to one of the best in our area! It is for employees of the local hospital I work for, so it's hard to get in to, but we got super lucky. It's also a preschool, so DS can go there until he's ready for kindergarten. That's awesome that Jess is doing so well!

    This made me LOL. Fantastic!

    AFM:
DD plays peek-a-boo by herself now! She'll cover her face with her bib and then pull it down when I say 'where did she go??'. It's amazing.

    GTKY:
I also (like a PP) love those strange easter egg candies that are hard on the outside and white/sugary goodness on the inside. Most people hate them. Oh well - more for me! I love jelly beans too but I don't know that we have these Starburst ones everyone is talking about... I should look!
