35 Weeks Pregnant

Tingling Feeling?

Hi, We're 35 weeks and feeling queasy and braxton hicks, cramps, etc. But I was wondering if anyone else feels a tingling feeling up around their ribcage? A feeling like when your foot starts to fall asleep. Deep breathing and moving around seems to help sometimes, but other times it just doesn't want to go away.

Re: Tingling Feeling?

  • Yes. I'm just now 26 weeks and I started feeling that about a week ago. I haven't figured out what it is but wanted to let you know you aren't alone on that one!

  • I'm at 35 weeks today and have had that feeling for quite a while. I thought it might be from the waist band of my maternity pants but I'm going to ask my doctor about it today when I go glad to know there are others out there experiencing the same thing!
  • Thank you ladies!!! This is good to know :) I'm over 39 weeks now and among other things I am still feeling this.

  • I feel the same thing! My mother says it's just the muscles up there stretching. It's rather uncomfortable, but I hardly notice when the braxton hicks start up LOL
  • Yes! I have felt that for some time now... I am carrying twins and from the looks of their placement and what I see during sonos its baby A's foot pressing into my ribs on the right side!
  • I've had this since 25 weeks and am now 34 weeks today and still have this problem. I talked to my doctor and it is very common in pregnant women because of stretching and how the babying is lying. He did say if the pain becomes so extreme and you think you need to go to the hospital that there also could be an infection in the lungs and then you should call your doctor right away.
  • The tingling feelin up by your rib is the baby's hand or foot pushing against it, or actually underneath it. Try squeezing your rib cage or have someone else do it, you'll feel soo much better once that foot pops out of there!
