getting into sitting up position on their own...

My son is 9 months later this week so I am jumping over a little early....

DS has sat unsupported since 6 months, but still doesn't get into the sitting position on his own. If he's laying on a pillow he can do a "situp" and get into his sitting position, but not if he is laying down on the floor.

 When did your LO start being able to get into a sitting position on their own from lying on the floor?

    My DD was doing that at 9.5 months and then took another month to fully crawl.

    10.5 months and the day after he learned how to crawl.

    DS still can't do that and he has been crawling for months and is almost walking. I think he physically could but he hasn't figured it out yet.

    My daughter just started to yesterday. She is 9.5 months and has not started crawling yet. 

     

    Hypothyroid/Fibroids/Stage 4 Endometriosis

    10/2010 Open myomectomy to remove 3 fibroids largest @ 8 inches. Stage 4 endometriosis and inoperable/blocked left tube.

    3/2011 Laporoscopy/Hysteroscopy. 3 endometrioma cysts, hydrosalpinx, left tube and half of the left ovary removed.

    5/2011 IUI #1 medicated w/injections, 1 follie = BFP!

    6/2011 Blighted Ovum/ D&C

    9/2011 IUI #2 medicated w/injections, 2 follies = BFP!

    Mine did it at about 7 months. Figured out how to pull up the next day. Crawling didn't happen for 3 weeks.

    DS was crawling well at 7 months, DD was at 6 months.  For both my kids once they crawled they could sit on their own from any position.

    My 9 month old refuses to sit up, he rolls all over the place, but hates being in the sitting up position.

    DD started doing this at 6 months. Children can't get into a sitting position from flat on their back (doing a sit up) until they are well into toddlerhood. :-) They will roll to their stomachs and the push into a sitting position.

    DS is 11 months and still can't do it. He's also not crawling or pulling up thought.

    My daughter just started sitting up on her own yesterday at 9.5 months.  My son still does not.

    DD has been getting into a sitting position on her own since 7 months, right after she learned to crawl.

    My daughter could go from crawling position to sitting at 8 months and crawled 3 weeks later . At 9 months pulled herself to standing position and cruises . Every baby is different
