Something I learned about teenagers

If you let one into your house, they attract others. Of both sexes. I forgot that teenagers are by nature extremely social beings. My cousin has moved in with us, another cousin, also a teenager, having been alerted to the presence of free food has also been coming around. Permission has been asked for friends to come too. Ladies I am getting a preview of what my life will be like in 10 years. Cousin 1 doesn't eat a lot but she does borrow my shoes, cousin 2 is a boy. He was here for 48 hours, he hoovered up most of my groceries. He weighs 135lbs. Where the hell did it all go? Does he store it like a camel for his weeks of living off of university food?

I work with teenagers and I congratulate you. The good news is that your house is a place they want to be. There are parents of teenagers who never see their kids. I'd much rather be the grocery poor one with all of the kids flocking to my place than wondering where they are. Consider this a badge of coolness.
