I've mentioned before that I haven't bought new clothes in... a long time. I buy everything used.
But today, DH and I saw a TRex lightweight hoodie on clearance at Macy's. Since DS is a huge dinosaur lover, we went for it.
DS hates it. He says the TRex is scary and it will eat him. He keeps telling us we said we'd gotten him a surprise and that the shirt isn't a surprise because it will eat him.
This is the evil, clearanced and nonreturnable, tshirt.
Re: Parenting fail
I 'made' my kids watch 2/3s of 'The Wizard of Oz' tonight.
Just waiting for the nightmares to begin (2am sounds about right)
The damn flying monkies.
LO used to have a sweatshirt with a dinosaur on it that he hated, too, which I never understood because he likes dinosaurs, but he said that one was scary.
They really should think about how they portray them on kids' clothes. Do the teeth have to be so prominent?
Damn you! Now I'm going to have nightmares. ::shakes fist::
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
Poor Rondack. I'm laughing and feeling bad at the same time.
similar story - I asked MIL to get B a Stuffie for Christmas. I thought he'd love opening the zippers and stuffing things in the pockets. He opened the box on Christmas eve and was meh about it until we showed him that the mouth unzipped. Then he freaked the eff out and literally ran screaming, "no get you! No get you!" from the room.

Holy fluck. That's scary.
Hahaha
That's funny. You are such an evil parent;)
You have to walk a fine line with dinosaurs. I bought DD a large floor puzzle when she was little and she was too scared to put it together. She was so into dinos too.
For some reason I always had nightmares about the Tin Man coming for me.
What a funny story!
And by the way, I laughed at this!
The non-returnable thing is because the cashier REALLY didn't want to sell it. It was marked down because it was supposed to be three piece and was only one, and DH had to beg her to sell it. She kept saying she'd get in trouble if we tried to return it, and he kept saying we wouldn't. So I don't want her in trouble.
BUUUUUT... he wore it today! This morning he said it's a nice T-Rex who will keep him safe.
He's a strange one, but I love him!
