Sleep Question

Hi Ladies,

I usually hang out on the BMBs but I wandered here today and figured you may be able to help with the 2 sleep questions/issues we're having.

1.  I put DD to bed at 8:30.  She goes in awake and lays right down, I cover her up, and she falls right to sleep, no fight, no fuss.  However, lately she's been waking at odd hours, 11:30, 1, 3:30 and screams bloody murder.  I've tried going in, I've tried not going in... neither works, and I'm getting near the end of my rope.

Please note this is NOT every night. She'll go some weeks sleeping great, then the next we'll get 2 nights clear through, and 5 nights up and down multiple times.

2.  When DD does sleep through she wakes up wet nearly every morning.  I have switched to night time diapers and at first I thought they were working, but no.  They aren't.  When she wakes multiple times through out the night, she wakes dry.

Suggestions?

Re: Sleep Question

  • My son starts waking like that a couple of weeks before he cuts a tooth, not every night, but randomly, so sometimes we'll just give him a low dose of ibuprofen.  Also, the only diapers that work at night for us, and we've tried quite a few, are the Target  brand. Good luck!

  • Thank you!  We are thinking teeth as well... I'll definitely try the target diapers... I appreciate your response.

  • Could be teeth, or a sleep regression tied to a mental leap or wonder week.
