Hello all! I am new to the cloth diaper/baby world. I am only a few weeks pregnant but have been buying cloth diapers for the last year. I only have a mix of about 8 AIO and fitteds in my stash at this point but can't wait to start buying more. My thought process has been that I knew I wanted to cloth diaper and the more I bought before baby got here, the easier it would be on our bank account. Can't wait to join this community!

    Welcome! 

    The 'wisdom' here is to buy one or two of a few styles and brands of diaper to see what you like once  baby is here.  Then you can buy more of what you like.  You may be surprised.  Most people buy a newborn stash (one size diapers won't fit until baby is a little bigger ~10 lbs or so) of prefolds and covers with a few aios or nb pockets for grandparents or babysitters. 

    Diaper trials are also an option from many stores.

    I would definatly suggest a newborn solution. My daughter was long and skinny. She did not hit 10lbs until almost 3 months and even then the one size did not fit because she got the weight from being long. 

    You also wont know what kind you like until you use them on your baby, so dont buy a bunch in one kind. Spread it out. I have a girl but some of my CD friends say that certain kinds work better for boys so you may want to wait till you know what you are having. :)

    Congrats! That is wonderful!!  Having a baby is so special.

    We use Terra Baby diapers - they were inexpensive so we felt ok trying out a few before making the bigger commitment.
