I'm nervous - upcoming cycle related junk

According to my calendar for my next IVF cycle I needed to start testing yesterday for my LH surge, which was predicted to be on March 4th. So yesterday of course I had a ton of great CM and tested then but I didn't get my smiley on my OPK. This morning, a big ol Big Smile ... Early.

And now I'm nervous. Nervous because things might be happening sooner (OK, only like 3 days sooner... but still!) than I thought. Nervous because we've/we're planning our trip out there, tickets have been purchased, nervous that Mister D has his SCSA sperm test deposit on Monday and we get the results in 2 weeks and I hope there's enough time before I start meds, nervous because I have a HUGE project at work and I'll be out for 2 weeks to deal with this but peeps think I'm going on vay-cay not having my eggs extracted to try and create a tiny one. AHHHHHH.

It's getting more real and that is internally freaking me the fudge out.

I need to start to take things day by day and listen to some calming music and maybe start my Circle and Bloom regimen early...

I'll call the clinic with my surge, per my instructions, and see what happens. I know 3 days isn't likely a big deal on their end.

I just have to vent this out, now. Thanks ladies.

oh bzeety. i'm sorry that you are stressing! starting circle and bloom early sounds like a great move.

per yh SCSA, mh had one too and it didn't really tell us much. especially if you are committed to doing PGD testing on your embryos anyway.

did you buy travel insurance for your flights? you might still be able too. it is only like 20 dollars and may ease your anxiety.

if you happened to book your flights through Southwest, you can change anytime w/o any fees.

for my work, i told my supervisor i was going to be out for a minor surgery and recovery for a week. when he inquired what kind, i told him female related. that stopped the questions fast and was all completely true.

Thanks, Lincoln. I'm trying not to stress but my body already is making sweaty palms and a racing heart. I can get it under control, it just is such a lame way to start a weekend!

The SCSA is DH's 2nd and we're looking for similar results to last time or hopefully an improvement. If things for some reason get worse, we need to not cycle this time and decide if we're going to try DS or extract sperm surgically from DH.

I did buy fully refundable tickets, and bought them early so it wouldn't be too expensive (on Frontier refundables are much more $$ than non). I don't think moving the dates for flights will be a big deal (but it will likely add $$) and I could fly out before DH does to solve some of it - it's all the related stuff like we're staying with relatives when we're there and we need cat sitter when we're gone... etc...

Travel insurance doesn't cover medical travel. At least Delta and Frontier's travel insurance doesn't. Also travel insurance through our insurance agency doesn't cover medical travel either.

My boss knows of our issues, but doesn't know details but all my work teammates don't know and unfortunately I'm not willing to give them any clue that something is up.

Arranging this stuff is sometimes like having a secret 2nd job.

I hope you are able to relax over the weekend and the Circle & Bloom helps! The idea of cycling out of town freaks me out, so I can only imagine how stressful it is! I'll be KMFX for good SCSA results. Big ((hugs)).

Hey Breezy, Sorry you are so stressed right now. I can't imagine having to cycle out of town and worry about work as well. When it would get around to ER or ET I would have to come up with the craziest stories since no one here knew what we were doing (boss is very anti any ART since his religion forbids it).

You made a very true statement when you said IVF was like having a second job - one exception is that this second job sometimes has to take precedence over everything in life.

I hope you can find a way t relax a little this weekend.

It's gotta be so tough trying to cycle somewhere where you have to fly. I hope you're able to find some ways to stay calm and relax. C&B is awesome for that. Vent away, we are here for you. I hope everything goes as planned, and if it doesn't quite go as planned, that it's not a major hassle to adjust. I'm hoping this is it for you!
