WTF my food processor died on me

I was making mashed potatoes (the girls seem to like them better when they're super smooth) and the engine just gave out. WTF?!

I guess I know what I'll be asking for for my birthday.

But on the bright side, that's one less thing to pack for the move. Yay!

It just died out of no where? Very strange.

Can I make a recommendation? I love my hand held food processor. It's so much easier to clean than the regular food processor.

Yeah. It had been running for a minute or so, and then it just stopped working.

Funny you should mention the hand held - That's what I got my mom for Christmas (well, that was the only thing on her list. lol) and she loves it too. Maybe I'll give that a try.

Dood, the nice hand mixer my dad just gifted me did that too.  So bummed!  I have a Ninja but my big blender-sized thingie is missing the top that the motor attaches to so I can't use it for big stuff.  Double bummer!

Ninjas are the best! I have always wanted one. I hope you find the big blender sized thingie.

It's always more fun to buy new appliances after you move into a new house - they just look so nice and shiny in your new kitchen.

DH bought himself a food processor for his birthday, mostly so that he can use it to shred cheese.

I hate all of the pieces, though - so obnoxious to clean, especially when it's covered in cheese.
