I've always thought of Logan as the ultimate preppy name, but maybe that's from watching too much Gilmore Girls.
It's pretty subjective, but I don't agree with a pp who said 'Porter' is a preppy name. I don't think occupational names are preppy at all, but especially not Porter. That's a doorman, what is preppy about that?

I wonder if they suggested it because it's also a surname, and surnames as first names tend to have a preppy feel.
