on a girl. Heard at Target today. She was really cute too! The mother said it many, many times so I know that's the name. Maybe I'm totally biased because I had a huge crush on a boy named Brent at one time, but a) don't think this is a real name and b) definitely would expect boy. Also, I know of several people with the last name Brantley, which also came to mind but this was definitely Brentley (well, obviously not sure on the spelling).

How do people come up with these things?

Boo! And on a little girl no less!

While I wouldn't use one myself, I generally don't mind unisex names on little girls. This one is so boyish though, I would never have guessed girl.
