Backpack diaper bag recs

Anyone have a backpack diaper bag that they love, but is a little on the larger side?

We have the Columbia Trekster Diaper Bag shown here:

I really love it...but I'm not sure there will be enough room for DD's stuff plus, plus infant stuff once #2 gets here.  We travel light these days, but I'm thinking back to the newborn stage, and how I'll ]need to go back to carrying things like receiving blanket/burp cloths and a change of clothing. I just don't think our current bag is big enough :(  Plus there is the fact that the diaper bag doubles as my purse, as I have no desire to carry two bags.

I have a Vera Bradley shoulder bag that's bigger, which is nice...but I really prefer the  backpack style when I'm out on my own, it's so much easier for me!

  • I love love love my Petunia Pickle Bottom bag. It can be a backpack or a shoulder bag and it holds a crazy amount of stuff. When Jack was a newborn I had all of his newborn stuff, extra shorts and undies for Liam, snacks, and my wallet. It's awesome.

  • My diaper backpack is a local brand, so I can't help you there.

I might have a tip or two for you to make the most out of your current bag, though.

    - Our backpack has a loop on top of it (for hanging). When DD1 was an itty bitty, we'd tie a receiving blanket there to save space inside the bag. Bibs can also go there.

    - When it comes to DD1, only bring what you REALLY need. For us, that means a change of clothes (if we're going to be gone for most of the day), snacks, and a pack of crayons and a few pieces of paper. And back in the day, a few diapers.
