I haven't decided what we're going to do yet re:solid foods. I hope to EBF for 6 months to maximize the health benefits for M. We recently visited friends who have a 10 month old. They said they attempted BLW but their daughter choked several times on the food so they went back to purees. They also said some of their friends had some problem with their LOs (choking).
Have you experienced this when you started your LO on BLW? Did you read books/websites/articles on BLW?
Also, when I read about starting solids, the books always say to introduce one food at a time and wait 3 days before introducing a second one. But with BLW, don't you end up introducing several foods each day? {TBH, I am not planning to do 1 food every 3 days; I think the likelihood of allergy is pretty small.}
Finally, with BLW, do you start with just 1 meal at the beginning? And for those of you who BF, do you nurse LO first and then put him/her into a high chair and eat together?
Re: More Qs about BLW
DD only sat with us for dinner the first 6 weeks starting at 6 months. I tried to move to 2 meals a day after 4 weeks but she wasn't interested. It took until 9.510 months for her to eat 3 meals a day plus snacks. I nursed her on her normal schedule and just put in her high chair at dinner time.
No we did not do one food at a time. Also we started dairy at 6 months, eggs at 8 months, and peanut butter at 9 months etc. However that is with the understanding that if there is an allergy you may have to eliminate all foods and start from scratch.

I started with purees and some soft finger foods soon after that. We do not have any history of allergies in our families. I started with one new food per day at around 4 1/2 months. Grayson did gag a bit with a soft piece of banana, but he seems to be figuring it out now. It did scare me when he sounded like he was choking.
I breastfeed, so I usually feed him solids in between. He has two meals at daycare during the week and one with us in the evenings. Good luck!
