Have any of you ladies had to endure flying with your infant? I'm due in about 5 weeks and when baby will be 5 months, my brother is getting married in NH (We live in CA) and so we'll be flying back for the wedding.
My assumption is that a direct flight would be best for baby, but I would love to hear other's expierience with flying at such a young age. What things did you learn in the process and what did you find to work best.
Thank you in advance for any input.

Re: Flying around 5+ months
We flew a ton with my first son (now 3 yrs) and have already flown twice with my 3 month old. Honestly, 2-6 months is the easiest time to fly with them - not crawling yet, so they are easily entertained by sitting in your lap looking around. I have always used the Ergo carrier - they both slept great in it and saves your arms from getting too tired. Basically nurse, pacifier or bottle on take off, alternate between sleeping and walking around, change diaper in the bathroom (changing table behind toilet). You'll be fine - before you know it you'll be an old pro.
