Separation anxiety: how young?

My H has been away a business trip and DD has been acting especially fussy/crazy since about a day after he left. She seems to be acting fine at day care, but at home she is refusing to eat, screams unconsolably for what appears to be no reason, and all but tries to leap out of my arms when I hold her. My DCP thinks she is upset that H is away. DD is 14 months old. Is that possible at such a young age?

Separation anxiety peaks around 18 months from what I recall, but starts well before that.
Honestly, it's always hard to be sure with kids that age.  Noticing your H is gone could be part of it, or some other developmental step.  DD certainly had some strong waves of emotion in the time where she knew some words but couldn't fully communicate.
