It offers the most sun protection out there, but honestly, I found the canopy to still be too small to adequately cover the baby.
Your best bet is to have the baby wear a hat and a rash guard shirt. I got a size 2T for DD who was a size 12m last summer. It covered her plenty.
Eta: and DD wasn't a huge fan of just sitting in the float. She wanted to be held in the water or to play on the steps. The hat and rash guard shirt offered protection for that
I'm not sure how to make it clicky on my iPad, but we bought this one. We haven't been able to use it yet because it's 9mo and up, but we plan to when we go to Florida in May. We bought it because it just looks fun.

We have this one. We've used it for 2 summers so far. It's similar to the one you posted. The sun visor is removable, which we like.
