S/O: converting the crib

For those that have converted the crib to a full size bed, what did you do with the unneeded crib parts?  We aren't having more kids so it won't be necessary to ever convert it back to a crib and I don't know what to do with the side rails and mattress spring thing. It seems so wasteful to just trash it but I'm assuming that's the only thing I can do with it all.

    You could
    A. Try to sell it on Craigslist
    B. Give it away on Craigslist
    C. Look online for craft ideas, you could make art projects or storage products.
