How long do they need to stay in the infant insert? All of a sudden DS is popping out the top of it!

    My daughter is doing the same thing but from what I have heard its best to keep them in the insert for close to 3 months for support and head control. But I think it depends on your LO and how big they are and their head control.

    The instructions say [I think] 4-5 months. Base it off when your LO can support their head.

    The Ergo website says it is required for babies 7 to 12 pounds, or 4 to 5 months.

    ok I'll have to gauge it by head control...he is almost 12lb now :)

    I used the moby wrap at first but now my over 2mth old seems too awkward in it. So I started using the ergo and its totally fine for us.

    You can also remove the little pillow thing on the bottom.
