Sick days used?

Just a curiosity question -- How many sick days per year do you use for your child in daycare?  If you could let me know how old tyour child is, that would be great!

I will be returning to work FT after my son is born so he'll start daycare at about 3-4 months and I'm curious how much sick time I can anticipate using that year!

I'm trying to think back. . . I believe last winter DD was home sick 5 or 6 days, and this summer I think 2. Last fall/winter was tough- she had impetigo (sp?) and a nasty stomach virus. And of course I then was sick after her The first year is the worst- I was starting to stress about using all of my days. Knock on wood, we haven't had to use any this fall. And we all get the flu shot every year. Praying for a healthy season!

Oh- and last fall DD was about 8 months old.

DD is one year & she started daycare at 4 months.  Between DH & I, we have used 10-12 days.  she had HFM that put her out for 4 days once, so that took a big chunk.  Check with your company about how you can use your sick days, I know with mine, I have to be the one sick, for a sick child I have to use vacation days

I returned to work in september and until march I was averaging a little over a day a month.  Some months were good and it was just check ups, some months were bad and it was ear infections and rechecks.  I returned to work Sept 07 and by Sept 08 I used 13.5 sick days.  Some of that was also due to me being out sick because I picked up the flu she brought home with her from day care.

I probably had to use a week's worth of time at least.  Fortunately my job is really flexible so I can work from home so that cut down on the time.  And my DH works from home so he oftentimes shared the duty.

DD will be 1 tomorrow.  She started daycare at 6mo.  I've had to take off 3-4 days, I can't remember exactly.

My kids are 8 months and 2 1/2 years and I have only used a few days.  My older DD has only been sick 3 times and my baby has been out 2 times already.
