We planned a trip to Florida and had planned to leave this Sunday.
My Dad works for Air Canada and we fly extremely cheap but we have to fly stand by. Well we got hit hard with snow this week here in Ontario (again) and a pile of flights got cancelled and pushed back. Which means we have no chance of getting seats on a flight for when we need to leave.
So DH has come up with the idea for us to drive! It is a 22 hour drive for us.
Now normally I would be all over this. I love road trips and I love the drive to Florida. But with a 4 month old I think this may be way different.
Our plan is to leave at 11pm Saturday night. That way it is DS' bed time and he will sleep for about 9 hours of our drive. We plan to stop at 14 hours of driving, stay over night somewhere and then continue the rest of our journey early in the morning again when DS is sleeping.
Has anybody done a journey like this with LO?
I am thinking we are reaching here and that this could go either amazing or really bad.
Any advice on how to make this trip a little more tolerable for DS?
