When did you/or expect to get released from RE

I need to find a new OBGYN, and since we're hoping to move before baby arrives I don't know what hospital I'll be delivering at.

I know I need to figure it out soon. But for now, I'm just trying to gauge the average time that everyone gets released from their RE to see how much time I have to make a decision. I'm sure it varies according to everyone's circumstances, but I'm just looking for a general idea or range. TIA!

I was released from my RE at 8 weeks and saw my OB at 10 weeks.  Depending on the OB's availability, you might want to make that appt. ASAP to make sure you get in when you want to.  My OB had plenty of openings, but that's just not always the case, and since it sounds like you will be a new patient, you definitely want to schedule it as far in advance as possible.

My RE does weekly u/s until the 12th week at which point you get released to your OB.

As soon as I had my viability ultrasound at 7w5d. My referral to the OB got lost so I didn't end up seeing them until 12 weeks, which was later than they would've liked to get my first tri screens done.

I was released from RE at a little past 7 weeks and had my first OB appointment at 9 weeks.

My RE released me after my first u/s. 6w6d I had my first apt with the OB yesterday at 8w4d

I'm getting released tomorrow at 7w3d. I've had 2 good u/s and everything is on track. My first OB appointment is in 2 weeks at 9w2d.

I was released at 12 weeks but had my first OB appointment at 8 weeks.

Currently they're having me come in for weekly u/s, but I've gotten the impression it'll be around 9w or 10w. I really don't know.

I was released a little before 7 weeks, after we did an ultrasound and saw the heartbeat.

Providing everything looks good on my next u/s on Monday, I'll be released to my OB.  I'll be 8 weeks. 

I would start looking for an OB now.. so when you are released you can go ahead and make an appointment.  But like pp said, if you are a new patient it may take longer to get an appointment.  Luckily Im staying with the OB/GYN I have been with for years.

I was released from my RE at 10 weeks and had my first OB appointment at 11 weeks.  My office said since we have PPO as opposed to HMO they were able to keep me a little longer.

9 weeks.  It was a bittersweet day.  My doctor, nurses and I were all crying but we were all happy that I was leaving because things were going so well.

I got released after the follow up of my NT scan at about 12.5 weeks. To get an appt with my OB, I needed to have the release date, so I wasn't able to call until after 11 weeks. The earliest they could get me in was about 15 weeks.

I'm at 7 weeks and have 1 more appointment in a week with my RE but I went ahead and made my first appointment with my OB...I will be about 10 weeks when I go in.

I found a new OB based on recommendations from friends, and made an appt for 10/25, when I'll be 9w2d. I can't wait!
