Luvs diapers

I am thinking about switching to Luvs diapers. We have been using both huggies and pampers, and all have worked great. What is your experience with Luvs? I want good or bad stories. I of course will buy a small pack first to try. Thanks ladies!

The stench is too much to take, in my opinion. I had a "spare" in my purse for a few days and nearly two weeks later my purse still reeks of that stupid diaper. I don't know what it is about them, but they are just rancid smelling.

They also sag really bad.

Love them! Never sag or smell for us and they're the only ones he doesn't soak through!

The contain all pee and poo, no pooplosins. I don't know about any smell, we've been using then from the beginning and my only con is the sagging.

They are pretty comparable to Pampers Baby Dry.  They do sag and have a very strong "baby" smell.

I use them because they are cheap.

If you're looking to save money I've had great experience with the Target brand!

the experiences are so diverse. I HATE them, for several reasons

-i hate the chemical powdery smell

-as soon as LO pee's I smell Piss and thats gross

-50% of the time when she poos, it leaks out the back, top part

-when you consider the amount of money and time I have had to invest when she poo blowouts in them, they have saved me no $.

I unfortunately bought a case of 260 something and I jsut threw the last 50 or so away. I am normally pretty frugal and am a major couponer, but Im so sick of having to rinse shiz off clothes and immediately wash them in order to avoid staining. I will never buy again. Its just not worth it to me.

I bought a small package to try when LO was still in sposies, HATED them. They are scented, I don't like using a lot of scented stuff around LO anyway, but the smell about knocked me over. This was just a couple weeks after he was born, so maybe my supernose was still in affect. I took them back to the store, I refused to even try putting one on him because of the perfumey stench.

We normally use frangrance-free diapers, so I totally agree that the fragrance is a lot to take.  But we tried a couple of different brands at night, and they all leaked, until we started using Luvs at night.

So now we do Seventh Generation during the day and Luvs at night (just the one diaper per day since she STTN).

We got about 6 packs of Luvs as gifts before we had M.  We tried them for a whole week and they were awful.  She had pee and/or poop all over her clothes at every change, they leaked horribly.  But, some people have success with them and prefer them.  I guess it just depends on your baby.

For my girls, I started with Pampers and switched to Luvs and had no problems. They both worked much better than Huggies. For DS, Huggies seem to work the best.

We tried them for a while. He did ok in the day with them but peed through them every night. However, his butt is finnicky and the only diapers that holdup for him through the night are pampers. I know a lot of people have success with the luvs though.

i have a super chunky baby and they didn't work well for us at all.  to get them high enough around her tummy, they were too tight around her legs, and just didn't fit well. leaked a lot, and she got a lot of mild rashes while wearing the couple packs people bought us along the way.

if you want something cheaper, maybe try the Kirkland brand ones.

I wish they would have worked for us, but booooo.

They gave DD a nasty rash. So far that's the only brand that has given her any reaction. We use Target brand for saving money and we love them!

I actually really like the smell of Luvs. They smell clean to me and I like that they aren't thick and bulky.

we use luvs because they are cheap. i hate the powdery smell so i may switch to the target brand. They work for containing pee but DD poops out of every diaper we have ever tried.

I have no idea what stench people speak of...
Its the only disposable we use in this house on dax. We never get leaks.

I really like them. They have a much stronger smell than pampers but I didn't notice it after a while and honestly we can't afford to keep up with pampers! I pay $0.13 per diaper and now spend less than $30 a month on diapers which is awesome! Thank you subscribe and save with Amazon mom.

I honestly think it's different for every baby. That being said, my favorite by far are Target and Luvs diapers, Huggies and Pampers didn't work AT ALL for Ian...it was like he wasn't wearing a diaper at all. Plus Luvs and Target brand are much cheaper...and I honestly like how Luvs smell...that's just me though.
