Constipated from formula?

My son is 2.5 weeks old. I've been in process of switching him to formula for the past couple days due to some health issues I'm facing. He hasn't popped in 24 hrs. I'm assuming it's the formula. I have a call in to dr but they haven't called back. Has anyone else dealt with this? Help? Thx!

My DD has been formula fed from day 1 and generally only poops every other day. They will probably tell you not to be concerns unless 3 days have passed. At that point they may suggest a prune juice and water mixture. Worked for my DD! She did get severely constipated on soy formula, so hopefully that's not what your LO is taking. It was awful!

I've had the same experience with my LO. Once we started formula, she only went every 2 to 3 days, but the pedi was never worried. When she did get constipated, the prune juice worked for us too.

Yep, when I started formula my little one was only pooping every 3 to 4 days, and nothing would help so  I had to give him a sapository(?) But I switched him to walmarts brand formula parents choice gentle and he poops every other day now

My LO was early so we had breastfeeding issues. He got breast milk and formula for a month. But my supply was so low from just pumping when I was able so eventually went to just formula. He was on similac and would go 3 days without a bowel movement and it would be so hard and firm when he did go. I switched to Enfamil and he has been regular ever since. Your baby just might be getting adjusted to getting only formula. Not going in 24 hours isnt constipation, give him a couple more days to see if he goes.
