Avg childcare costs

Since daycare rates vary so much from city to city I felt like it would be more practical to ask this on the community board. 

What's the average price per week or month for your daycare?

Does your LO attend full time or part time? 

Do you think it would be possible to pay per day or would this depend on the daycare?

Where do they go?

I'm a FTM and my schedule changes every month so some weeks my LO may need daycare for 3 days, other weeks, maybe only once or twice. Thanks!

I called a few places last month when I thought I might return to work. The prices I got are per week for a one year old, full time.

Harvest Childcare Development Center, Watauga - $332

Children's Lighthouse in North Fort Worth - $339 for the infant 2 room, once she was walking and using a sippy she would have moved to the infant 3 room at $324

Endless Discoveries in Saginaw - $309  I think they gave me a monthly rate and then I averaged it out per week.  I can't find my notes, but this is what I have on my handy dandy spreadsheet.

Most standard daycares either offer full time M-F or part time on certain days like MWF or TTH and for specific times.  I remember a few offering drop in rates but I can't remember which ones.   

One of my friends takes her daughter to a drop in daycare called SS Noah in Keller when she needs childcare for just a few hours.  They also have other locations.  https://www.ssnoahplaycare.com/index.html

Kiddin' Around Play Care is another drop off center but I've never used them or know anyone who has.  They are in the Dallas area. 

You might also try an in home daycare registered with the state.  Some of the ones I looked into offered drop in rates and charge a flat fee per day.  I want to say around $35-40. https://www.dfps.state.tx.us/default.asp

i work in one. it all depends on the daycare and age. most of them go by age and wether its full time part time half day or some days. Make sure you go look at the place and ask as many questions as you can. they all avg btw 280 260 for babies fulltime per week..
