So, I was resting this afternoon but had my phone going through Pinterest things. Came across one of those 'ridiculous answers kids give on tests' compilations and started giggling! Well, I guess about 3/4 of the way through I laughed a little too suddenly? I got this sharp pain on my left side - definitely a pulled muscle pain. And now it's kind of tender. Not achy or crampy or anything like that but tender when I move.
Has anyone else had this? It was just so weird...I'm thinking obviously I can't do ANYTHING if I pull a muscle while laughing!
I also kind of slipped this afternoon. Not really anything major. I was trying to dodge the side mirror of my friends van and ended up on my hands and knees in the snowbank - was soft, not a far fall from where I already was, and I didn't hurt myself but wondering if I set the course for my pulled muscle? This is just so stupid lol
Re: I pulled a muscle laughing??
Could it maybe be stretching ligaments? I know I get sharp pains (usually to one side or the other) whenever I sneeze and, from what I've read, it's due to the round ligaments of your uterus stretching. I have noticed that the area is sore for a while after I feel the sharp pain, especially if I sneeze really hard!
Here's to hoping ligament stretching is all it is! I really hope you don't have to deal with a pulled muscle while you're pregnant!
