Hi, ladies! I enjoy lurking here and don't post much. So here's my situation:
My sister is pregnant and I'm throwing her shower. She was pregnant with my nephew last year but lost him at 27 weeks so I want this shower to be extra special and amazing for her.
She's having a girl and they're planning on doing a woodland creatures theme in the nursery. She doesn't like pink, green, or purple for girl colors and wants to avoid boy colors. She likes bold, happy colors. That's pretty much what she's given me.
I have a little over a month before I need to worry about sending out invites but I want to reserve the restaurant (easiest place for everyone from all over to meet) and get decoration ideas going. I'll be inviting about 40 people or so, expecting on a max of 30 to actually show up.
My sister is 31, not particularly into the pastel baby stuff, and very fun in a silly way. Can you give me some ideas for how to make this an awesome experience for her? Thank you so much in advance!
Re: Help with shower theme/decorations
I second this.
Also, the boldest, happiest colour I know (that isn't pink, purple or green) is orange and I came across this cute Goldfish themed babyshower (sorry Chrome, no clicky): https://pinterest.com/pin/266416134178770724/
My Mom just picked the invites for my shower and they are cute with a woodland theme:
CLICKY
You can do lots of green, orange, yellow, etc. with these invites.
ETA: Doh! I see green was on the list of colors she didn't like. This one may be too girly. How about this one? CLICKY 2.
I did a woodland theme for my cousin's wife's shower here's a link to the blog entry I did on it.

Edit: Not sure why the pics are acting funny....hmmm.
