when do you replace pacifiers?

How long do you use each pacifier for before throwing it out? I heard somewhere that you should change them out weekly. I have a stock of about 6 that I rotate between cleaning by I'm wondering if the integrity of the material starts to degrade after a bit and becomes a choke risk. Thanks!

    I use NUK silicone ones and one the package it says to replace in about 2 months of use.  We have a handful and do regular cleanings and I just recently bought a few more to replace them.

    I have only tossed out pacifiers that the dog has gotten a hold of and sucked on.  Otherwise, I just steam them with my pumping accessories once a day.  However, LO only uses a pacifier for a few minutes a day.

    We have replaced DS's pacifiers when they start to look gross.  Embarrassed
