DAILY BACK IN SHAPE POST

morning all... :

Goals... My goal for the day is to wash my hair!!! Ha ha

Food... Yesterday was cliff bar and nutella, Chipotle salad with chicken, brown rice, veggies and guac for lunch, fruit smooths for snack, chicken noodle soup and coconut milk for dinner

Exercise...sigh... Again had a clingy baby but was able to pound out three sets of lunges and squats. Today I am aiming for some kind of cardio and arms

Life... DH and I are a little better today, he helped me yesterday. Baby is much more alert but woke up at really weird times last night so I don't know what to expect today!

  • Good morning! I managed to do really well yesterday :) I had 1700 calories--whole wheat toast with natural peanut butter for breakfast, vegetable beef soup for lunch, grilled chicken with quinoa and broccoli for dinner, and snacked on string cheese and fruit. I was able to go to the track and get in 30 minutes of walking...AND I ran a half mile! It doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start :)

    As far as baby goes, I finally got real milk in, instead of that colostrum stuff. I did not realize it would take SO LONG to feed him! He ate for a solid hour yesterday! 

    Today I want to stick to 1700 calories again, and do an arm and shoulder workout. I'd like to find a clean recipe for some kind of hearty comfort food, because it's super cold and rainy here, and I'd like to have something extra nice for my husband when he comes home from work. Good luck today, everyone!

  • Good Morning Ladies!

    Goal of the day: To take a shower and have more interactive play time with DS.

    Food: Breakfast was coffee w/ sugar free coffee mate & an egg sandwich with reduced fat cheese on a bagel thin. Lunch will probably be leftover ground turkey shepard's pie from last night's dinner. Dinner is TBD. I really need to get my portions in check though!

    Exercise: Just finished Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30.

    Life: DS is getting much better with napping, but all the napping he did yesterday somehow screwed up bedtime, I think. I know at this age, he should sleep as much as he needs to, but he definitely napped more during the day yesterday and his sleep last night was much more interrupted...what gives? Hoping that was just a fluke! I'm definitely craving some quality time with DH. Hopefully we'll get some of that in soon. I need to talk to my boss about the possibility of going back PT since I will not be going back FT. They don't know this yet though. I'm really nervous about having this conversation because I'm not sure if they're gonna go for it.

    Glad to hear things are going better with DH. Hang in there...this too shall pass. :)

  • Hmmm not sure if I post here what I did yesterday, or post at night what I did all day.. I think I'm going with the first option since nights are harder for me so this is a repost...

    Weighed in yesterday at 165.5, down 3 from a week and a half ago so that's good. 130 is the goal, but I tend to follow size/ inches more - I'll be measuring myself at some point today ( bust, hips, biceps, individual thighs, waist ). Too much emphasis is placed on weight, and muscle can replace fat, making it appear on the scale as not losing weight. I was in the best shape ever right before I got pregnant (surprise baby!) so I know what my body looks like at 130 and that's what I'm shooting for! 

    Nutrition- Eggbeaters and whole wheat toast for breakfast, 1piece Ezekiel bread w/ natural  PBJ for lunch, smart pasta, tuna and broccoli/chz for dinner, 2 oatmeal cookies for late snack... Could be better, but we're not grocery shopping til Wed so I had to make due!

    Exercise- 10 min bike, 15 min elliptical, 20 min walking.

    Life- DS has GOT to be going through a growth spurt, he's not sleeping as well and waking up all the time to feed. Last evening/ nt was rough so SO let me sleep in today and took care of him. Feel a lot better after my morning nap!

  • Goal: get back in the swing of being back to work. It so hard to be away from DS. He woke up this morning before I left at 6am usually he is sleeping....so it was SO hard to leave. Need to drop a few more lbs to be back to prebaby weight.

    Food: breakfastbanana and fiber one bar. Lunchsalad. DinnerI hope chipotle!

    Exercise: ran two miles before work and will be going to yoga from 4:305:45.

    Life: DH and I had a long talk and I hope it helped. Things have just been stressful and crazy with a new baby and going back to work. DS has been STTN for 1012 hours, so I feel fortunate about that, but I miss him all day.

  • Goals... To NOT have dessert tonight!

     Food... eh. Still lacking in willpower but it's been ok. Oatmeal for breakfast, leftovers for lunch, and some chocolate tossed in for fun.

    Exercise... I made it to a stroller strides class! I didn't do everything since it's still early but it felt great to get in a workout and my friend watched her kid and mine after class so I could shower- awesome!

    Life... It's rainy and gross outside and my toddler has a cold but the weather is supposed to improve so we can go to a playground tomorrow and get out of the house!
