A dolphin hit me in the head with a football.

How often do you get to type something like that out and have it be true? ;)

It happened last week at Sea World. I was holding DS and DD was next to me, and we were watching the dolphins play. They had a football that people would toss and the dolphin would fetch it and bring it back for someone else to throw it.

Well, the little girl next to us threw the ball, and it hit the dolphin. I looked down to say something to DD, looked up and saw the football heading straight for me. I tried to duck, since I couldn't catch it, but it ended up beaning me in the side of the head. I thought I would die laughing. Sketchy dolphins. :D

  • thos are sketchy dolphins, dude you could sue for that kind of sh!t=P
  • Thank you for this.  Not that I wish wayward footballs being launched toward anybody's head, but this was good for a much-needed laugh.

I know! They gave us some Shamu stickers right after that happened. I'm SURE it was to ensure our silence on this matter. ;)

    Glad I could help Co!

haha!  Oh totally, bc that's what I always hear about people using to muscle their way into things.

  • LOL. Seriously, I am the least athletic person in the world and every time I'm at any sort of event where balls are in the air I'm constantly afraid I will be hit with one. You got to live out my fear. I'm glad it was funny and not horrifying!

I hope my DS doesn't go into sports. I'll be cringing the entire time.
