How would you handle this?
I have to take B home from daycare via a 45ish minute commute that involves a 2 mile car ride to the Metro, a 30 minute Metro ride, and a 3 block walk.
Yesterday morning was her first day going to daycare in undies after 4 days at home (though we did multiple outings during that time) with just 1 accident that whole time. She did that above commute to daycare with no issues.
On the way home, we went to the bathroom directly before leaving daycare, she was fine the walk and Metro ride, then less than 2 minutes from our house she let it go in her carseat, ick.
I don't really want to go backwards and put her in diapers for the commute since she's been doing so well, and really 2 accidents in 5 days is nbd at all, but I can't have her peeing in her carseat every day, it's not practical to take it apart and clean it. There's no option to pee at any point on the commute home.
Re: If you PT'd/are PT'ing
Maybe get this until she is used to the commute?

I have also heard of these little inserts you can put in their underwear...it was the in the 3 day potty training manual. I will try to find what they are called. They absorb but aren't diapers...
What about getting one of those porta potties for the car, so you can give her the opportunity to go once you get to the car, but before you drive home.

I agree with the PP on the portable potty in the car.
But if this is not an option for you, one can buy wet-sheets (normally used in hospital beds, PT's-beds or elderly peoples bed). But you can easiyly cut a whole in them for the seatbelt. It absorbs the liquid, spared the seat and is easy to change (also not toooooooo expencive)

I do have the Potette. I'm hesitant on that for a couple reasons, mainly because we're in a parking garage, so setting her down on the ground with it seems like it might be a bit dangerous, and I don't have anywhere in my car to set it on a flat surface.
