Ok. I know every baby is different and that there is always a wide range of 'normal,' but I am just wondering what other LO's are doing these days.
DS was rolling tummy to back at 2 months old. DD is almost 3 months and not even trying. I'm not worried, I know she'll get there in her own time; she had a broken collar bone from birth and possible muscle strain in her neck and right arm.
So what are your LO's doing these days and how old are they?
Re: Rolling over?
Ours is trying really hard..she can roll from her back to her side but she hasn't quite managed to make it the rest of the way. When you put her on her tummy, she can just about roll over, but not quite and she gets really mad b/c she can't, lol. I expect her to make it any day now, but i'm not overly excited about it b/c that means no more swaddling and i'm afraid she won't sleep well the first few nights without a swaddle.
ETA..she's 2 months old

What she does like is sitting up with just a bit of support on her back. She'll try to pull herself up into a sit from laying on her back. It's funny to watch her attempt it before we give her a hand.
This!
This is my LO too!
My lil guy is 12 weeks today and he will roll from tummy to back about 1/3 of the time. But then again my LO loves his tummy time we have this bear mat thing that he does tummy time on and he loves to talk to it and rub his face back and forth on it, so I think he rolls when he wants too and stays on tummy time most of the time because he's happy there.
Don't worry too much about rolling over! Our pedi said that since they started the Back to Bed thing to prevent SIDS that they usually roll by six months rather than 3-4 months.
Amelie is 2 1/2 months and can roll back to side, but doesn't care to do much more than that. She prefers sitting up and standing to laying down, so imagine she'll be sitting unsupported before she rolls regularly. She also has great head control.
This exactly. Our pedi said 3 months is kind of early now to roll over and as long as he's progressing, that's all they care about. He's a strong little guy and is very social and alert, so that's all that matters to me.
