DD was induced at 38 weeks due to high blood pressure. Although she was induced we were able to avoid a csection. I'm hoping to go 38 weeks with the twins (EDD 7/20) and avoid csection again, but my OB keeps telling me she'll be happy if I get to 36 weeks and that most multiples are born via csection. Just curious how long you all made it and if you were able to avoid a csection.
Re: When/How did you have your twins?
induced at 36 weeks due to pre-e
had a c-section at 36 weeks 2 days (the girls were locked in a headbutt and couldn't drop...I stopped progressing at 4cm after a foley bulb and 48 hours of pitocen)

Videos of telling my family and husbands family that we are preggo...with twins!
Induced at 38w. I had extensive swelling in my legs and feet and was beyond uncomfortable. (My MFM's protocol is to recommend induction after 38w anyway.)
Girls were born vaginally at 38w1d. Baby A was head down most of my pregnancy and stayed that way. Baby B flipped around alot, but went head down after her sister.
If A was breech, I would have had no choice but to do a csection. If Baby A was head down and Baby B was breech, it would have been up to the doc on call based on their comfort level with breech extractions...
36w3d, scheduled C-section because Baby B was breach and the doctor didn't want to attempt an extraction b/c they thought Baby B was significantly larger (turned out not to be the case, but better safe than sorry).
Our MFM does not like for twin moms to go much beyond 36 weeks because of the risk of placenta deterioration. Babes were totally healthy upon arrival - no NICU time, no special measures of any sort.

Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!
I made it to my scheduled induction at 37w5d (I started having contractions at 1 am that morning anyway They were both head down and I had them both vaginally 7 hours after the start of the induction.
I had the same worries as you about having a csection. I hope everything works out for you! Good luck!

My girls were born at 34w4d via emergency c/s due to Pre-E with HELLP Syndrome causing IUGR. They spent 4 weeks in the special care nursery to grow and learn to eat. They were only 2.9 and 3.7 lbs.'
Also want to add that both girls were head down, so had things turned out differently, I would have delivered vaginally. OH and my OB would have delivered them between 37-38 weeks.
My doc said that I'd be induced at 38 weeks if the babies dont come on their own by then. if baby A is head down I'll deliver vaginally even if baby B is breech. He said regardless he would "go up there and grab baby b and pull it out" due to the cervix being known to close back up a little after the first baby is out.
Obviously I am no where close to being ready to deliver but I do like to have a plan for when I do!
My water broke @ 31 weeks, and I kept them in one more week. Unfortunately baby A decided the cord out and press on it with her head, so we had an emergency c-section. We nearly lost Baby A, but once she was out, she was able to start breathing on her own, pinked up fairly quickly, and she is now 13 months young and doing fantastic!
I wanted this birth do go like my first, but I learned reading this board and talking to other MoMs that the best plan is "whatever it takes to bring them into this world safely".
I hope it goes very well. HUGS

37.5 weeks via scheduled c-section. Baby A was breech for the entire pregnancy (Baby B frequently switched between transverse and vertex), so I knew that I would most likely be having a c-section.
The c-section was originally scheduled for 38.5 weeks, but the MFM had us move it up a week because it looked like Baby A wasn't growing much anymore by that point. MFM said that there was no benefit to keeping them in for the extra week, and that complications can start to go up after 38 weeks...therefore, she thought it best to deliver between 37 and 38 weeks.
C Section at 33w 4d. Baby A was head down but baby B was transverse
My water broke on its own and they werent able to stall labor
38w1d-- unplanned c/s. Both babies had low fluid and baby A (DS2) had heart decelerations at my routine NST the morning they were born.
I'd been planning on a vaginal delivery as A was vertex and my OB was willing to perform a breech extraction if necessary on our never-vertex B. However, that was only if I went into labor on my own, and once we were dealing with low fluid he didn't want to induce.
