DS has thrown up 4 times since Saturday. I took him to the pedi yesterday. She said what I was already thinking: it's most likely due to the post nasal drip from a respiratory infection. He's been on C-Phen drops to dry up the congestion since this weekend. I'm just wondering how long it may take these drops to make any kind of improvement, and if there are any other options out there for a 6 month old that work quicker. Has anyone used a different medication that I can bring up to his pedi? I can't stand that he keeps having to go through this. TIA.

Re: vomiting from mucus
i hope your DS gets better!
DD is on J-Tand for her bad cold and it has now moved in her chest. I'm not sure if it was already there and is now breaking up or what. We started the J-Tand on Friday night around 6 and she wasn't feeling better until early Sunday morning. She too has thrown up and I believe it is from the mucus/drainage. She is also spitting up after eating some meals when she coughs and then will choke on her cough. If she isn't better in the morning, I'm going to give her pedi a call and ask if there is something else we can give her. The J-Tand is clearing up her cold (running nose, sounding like a bull dog, etc).
We also use babyvicks on her chest, back and feet and it seems to help her breath during the night. Also, a humidifier has helped her a lot.
