Baby Jogger City mini double, reviews ?

Have p&t now and hate it, but have a hard time rationalizing 2nd double stroller purchase.  Tia.

Re: Baby Jogger City mini double, reviews ?

  • Hmmm...What do you hate about P & T's? We were deciding between that and the CIty Mini and decided to get the P&T Vibe.  We tested both. The City Mini was nice but I didn't really like the plastic wheels. Plus, it wasn't the nicest looking stroller out there. Also, the weight limit is kind of confusing. Some say it's 50 lbs per seat, but then other things I've read say that it's only 33 lbs. per seat and the rest is for the storage basket.
  • We've had the Vibe about 8 months. It is not easy to push/steer.  Drives like a shopping cart.  And it is VERY difficult to push one handed, so getting thru doors is tough.   I do not like bending over to put my infant in the bottom seat and he hates riding in it which doesnt help.  Its also a lot heavier than they tell you.  I will say it looks great, an ok ride for the kids and the handlebar break is awesome.

Im not convinced the city mini is better necessarily, thats my hesitation in buying.

  • We test drove a lot of strollers for our double - we really really liked the city mini double, but we went with the Zooper tango because it was able to put the infant seat on it and the accessories weren't as expensive. We HATED the zooper, and by then we didn't want to risk the City Mini, and just went with the Bob Revolution double. We LOVE this stroller and really couldn't be happier. I sometimes wonder if we would have been happy with the City Mini Double (I still love that stroller), but maybe we'll buy it if we ever do some traveling or something like that. The good news is that they have great resale value (all three - the P&T, the Bob and the Baby Jogger)
