Thoughts on Ray as a MN?

So DH and I have been going over names and we have a girl name picked, Tenley. DH also wanted an "Asian/American" sounding name for a boy but we had a terrible time coming up with one but he surprised me and suggested the name Nicholas (not Asian at all, haha). I didn't love it at first but it's growing on me and I'm actually really liking it now. How would Ray sound as a MN for both of these? Ray is my father's middle name.

 Tenley Ray (Maybe change the spelling to Rae for a girl?)

I think it sounds fine. For me, the family significance would trump the sound of it anyway.

I think its great for a middle name! My dad's middle name is Ray, and if we had a daughter this time around her name would have been Rosalie Ray.

I think both flow well.  My MN is Rae, I have always really loved it!

I like it with both.  My DD2's mn is Rae because my husband and both of his grandfather's mn's are Ray.

Thank you everyone for your input! My dad is the only person I've ever known with Ray as a middle name but I think it's great there are so many others! : )
