Waiting for the weight.

Now that I am not throwing up everything I eat, and I am pretty much eating a meal every 2 hours, I am just waiting for the weight to come.  I have officially lost 12lbs in the 1st trimester.  I lost 10lbs last time, and ended up gaining 50, so I am not worried about it.  It is just so bitter sweet to see that number on the scale.  Who knew that to get back to pre-twin pregnancy weight I just had to get pregnant again!  It will all come back, and then some, though.
Since I know this is the last one, I am actually going to work hard to get the weight off.  No more "I am just going to get pregnant and gain it all back" excuse...

Re: Waiting for the weight.

  • I am probably one of the only pregnant women ever to want to see the number on the scale climb Stick out tongue I had a really hard time gaining weight with DS!

  • I hear ya on working to lose the weight. I lost about 40 lbs in the last year so I know I can do it, but after baby comes (and I lose this weight) I'll still have at least another 20 lbs to go.

Me too Billysgirl. I have added an ensure to my diet on the days i can not eat much. Soon enough we will all become a little more round

Yup, that is what I had to do last go around. Guess we'll see where I stand at my next appt!

  • I also was in the 'why work hard when I am just going to get pregnant again' camp. And I am totally regretting it. Last time around, I was at a very healthy weight when I got pregnant. I gained 70 lbs (ugh! I blame the carbs!) and only lost 50 lbs. So this time around, I am heavier to start and freaked out about every single pound I might gain (so far, I am down 6 lb due to MS). I never thought about gaining weight last time (ummm, big mistake... probably should have at least thought about it once or twice), so this time, I am thinking of every single pound I might pack on.

  • I gained about 25 with my first and lost it all very quickly.  I will see on Thursday if I have gained any so far, but I haven't been too sick so I am sure I have gained.

I know I am only just shy of 11 weeks, but I am disappointed that I am not showing at all.  I want proof other than sore boobies and nausea that this baby is healthy and growing :)

My pants feel tighter, but I really think that they probably fit the same, I just feel like they are tighter since I know I'm preggo, LOL!!

  • I've lost 10lbs so far. Last pregnancy I lost 3lbs in first tri and gained 70lbs throughout pregnancy!! I hope I don't get as big this time around, but I would like to start gaining SOME weight.

Meh, I threw up bile this morning so I figure that counts as burning calories, right?  I lost all 50lbs that I gained with DS, me and Jillian Michaels will be bffs again come mid October and we'll get it done!

  • This is my first pregnancy but I am definitely waiting for the weight too!  I had lost 30 pounds 2 years ago and kept it off...luckily I kept all my bigger clothes/bras because I already need them.  I haven't even gained a pound yet, which is extremely surprising considering the vast quantity of Thin Mints and Mac and Cheese I've been eating as compared to my pre-pregnancy vegan diet.  I am already back into my big girl pants, though...I am quite fluffy in the mid section!

  • I'm up 8 lbs so far, I'm on the petite size so I'm chalking that up to my body needing some extra weight at first.  I've been holding steady for the last 3 weeks, hopefully my weight gain won't be too off pace going forward.  I'm hoping for a 30 pound gain this pregnancy
