so mad at DH right now

DD hasn't been sleeping great the past few nights, and since I BF I have ALWAYS done the night work. It doesn't bother me at all. DH needs to work with kids and he cannot be short -tempered from lack of sleep. He's principal, so he never knows what he's going to have to face during the day and needs to be level-headed. So, usually (at my request) he often sleeps in the basement.

So for the past few nights DD has been up like every hour. I was up late last night finishing an assignment for one of my courses. When he comes up stairs this morning, he looks at me and comments on how tired I look. DD is wide awake at this point and I feel like I've been hit by a truck. He leaves for work and I spend the next 2 hours trying to get DD back to sleep so that I can get a nap so that I can at least somewhat function today.

As SOON as DD falls asleep for her nap and I fall asleep, the phone rings. Not once and hangs up. He calls back a couple of times after voice mail kicks in. I go down over the stairs thinking that it was an emergency because the phone keeps ringing and he may have broken down. (the vehicle has been making funny noises for two days) No. He just wants to chat. That's it. He couldn't have called once and left a message for me to call him back. No. He keeps letting the phone ringing which wakes BOTH of us up when he knew how exhausted I was.

I know there are bigger things to get mad over, but I am SOOOO exhausted right now! So now I have a cranky baby because she didn't get her nap and I am cranky because I couldn't get mine, the house is a total disaster area which I need to get cleaned up and I need to get packed because we're going out of town for a couple of days.

Oh my gosh, I am sorry. I know that exhausted feeling. I hope your DD has a better night tonight.

Hugs to you.. that sounds aweful. Hoping you get some sleep soon. I've come to the conclusion that men just don't use their head a majority of the time.
