Newb with Dollar Tree Test Question

Hi y'all! DH and I are on our first month actively TTC. I have PCOS and endrometriosis, so I'll likely be in this phase for a while (getting preggo the first month for me would be a freakin' miracle, but a girl can dream, right?)

I've been using this board for helpful info (so a big thanks already to you ladies), but I have a question I haven't seen answered.

DH and I BDed on O day (confirmed by EWCM and OPK). At 4 DPO, I felt this weird scratching/pulling in the middle below my belly button.  I have endo pains occasionally, but this was totally different. I got excited for implantation and tested FMU  using a Dollar Tree test on DPO 6. I had a line that ran perpendicular to the control test (not parallel like box says).  I saw on here that a line going any other way on any test makes it invalid. Sigh. Waited.

 The past two mornings I have woken up with a headache, nausea, and have been exhausted.  This morning (DPO 8) I tested again with a new Dollar Tree test (a bought a bunch last time I went, so likely made together by manufacturer).  I got the same perpendicular line! At my wit's end, I called the manufacturer and they said that occasionally the tests are made crooked, and their policy is if you have two lines anywhere, it's BFP. Is that right? Has this happened to anyone else--if so, what was result, preggers or no? I think I'll break down and get a FRER soon... I don't want to tell DH I'm preggo and we both end up disappointed!

6DPO would be really early to get a BFP.

If you don't believe the test results, go buy a different brand and test again.

I have had friends who tested with the Dollar Store tests and did not have any problems. Like PP have said, you can just test again with another test if you are skeptical!

Definitely get a different kind and test again.  I have never seen that nor have I heard of it happening to anyone else, but there's a first time for everything right?

Don't have any info on getting a positive, but I use Dollar Tree tests all the time, and I have never had one do that. All of mine have had vertical lines.

Thanks everyone. I know 6 and 8 DPO is early, but tomorrow is DH's birthday so I was trying to see if there was any way to tell early. I'll test soon with a different brand.

Also, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm an attorney and husband juggles a couple businesses [all small start ups we are trying]. Been married 3 1/2 years. I've had two laparoscopies to remove endometriosis [stage 2/3] in the past. Been off bc since Jan 2012, but DH was away on work for 5 of the 12 months last year. This is our first month actively trying to conceive [charting, temping, CM, etc.]. We love traveling, indian food, and renovating our older home. Snarky, preppy southerner. I swear this will be my longest post.

I tested FMU today with a FRER and it was negative. Must just be a bad batch from dollar tree, or I was unlucky enough to get identical looking spaghetti sauce two days in a row. Apparently the box knows more than the manufacturer.
