Babies on the Brain

Intro TTC #3 and How are you telling DH.....

TTC#3, I have PCOS so I know it might be a while. This is cycle #2 on metformin... cycle #1 64 days with no O.... cycle #2 4dpo and currently CD29.... hoping to test on my 30th Birthday (11dpo) and see a BFP!

So, with #1 I just screamed and made him come look at the test. #2 I made a big sign that said "Pssssttttt Daddy I have a secret, mommy's pregnant" that I put on the changing table and filled the room with balloons and shut the door, made DH change our son's diaper. He was SHOCKED!

This is most likely our last baby, so I want to tell him in a special way, just need help! I want to include our 2 kids, ages 4 1/2 and 2

TTC #3 with PCOS. Long cycles, ovulate about 4-5 times a year Married 6/9/07 DS 7/15/08 Met RE 12/08 DD 6/2/10

  • You could have your oldest wear a shirt that says Big Brother and your youngest wear one that says Me Too! I didn't see if you specified if your youngest is a boy or girl, so sorry if I imply incorrectly, lol!

You can get a picture of you with your two kids with your shirts pulled up over your bellies. Then write Milk on one of their tummies, Apple Juice on the other and Baby on your own. Then make the picture into a card for your hubby.

Ooo I like both of these ideas! Even though the OP's children are boy and girl, she could write "Big Sib" instead of Big Brother.

  • I wish I could be this creative...as soon as I get a positive test I always blow it and can't keep it a secret long enough to do anything special!
  • In advance I made a CD for DH of all the songs by his favorite artist with the word "Baby" on it. I had tested in the morning after he went to work, and I was pretty sure we were out of the running that month (and he knew that) so my BFP surprised me. It just happened we were packing that night for an international flight, so I handed him the CD and said, "Here, pack this to listen to on the trip." He looked at it and was like, "Oh, how sweet." And I was like, "Read it. Do you notice anything?" And he's like, "Baby, baby, baby, awww baby." (Didn't get it!) So I go, "Guess who's having a baby?" And he's like **eyes widen** "You? Us? We're having a baby?" It was so sweet/funny!
