XP: How many days before ovulation did sex result in conception?

I'm starting to freak out after everything I'm reading about sperm living for 3-5 days (which I knew, but seeing it in print right now is even more real to me now). In case it's not obvious, we are not trying to have another baby right now...We had sex on Monday night and I'm a little unclear on when I ovulated because my body is doing things differently this time. Normally, I feel a lot of discomfort the day that I ovulate. Felt that on Thursday and started getting nervous. In a nutshell, I'm almost positive I either ovulated by mid-day yesterday or sometime this morning. For all of my other pregnancies, we had sex as late as the day before or even the day of ovulation, so I don't have personal experience with getting pregnant after having sex days before. I didn't notice any EW fluid on Monday, but did on Tuesday. Am I pregnant? (KIDDING!)

    When I got pregnant with DD2, we had sex 4 days before I ovulated.

    Having sex DAYS before I ovulate doesn't work for us for some reason.... it has always been day or night before I ovulate and days leading up to it.... we got worn out so we never ended having sex day of or after, Lol

    Why don't you just have sex every other day, that way you are covered. LO was conceived about 1.5 days after I ovulated.

    Well really dont have a good answer. All our bodies are so different and since you werent charting there really isnt any way to know other then 1. Wait til you are late and 2. POAS.

    I had sex 4 days before ovulation with this pregnancy.

    With DD, it was either 2 or 3 days before ovulation. Now, while we're TTA, we don't go unprotected until after O has been confirmed on my chart and we avoid all together during my fertile period.

    DD was an "oops" one night without a condom at what I thought was the wrong time of the month, so I can't tell you how many days before O we had sex to conceive her.

    I don't disagree that it wasn't smart. In fact, I pretty much said the same thing to DH. I didn't bother going into a lot of detail in my post, but based on previous cycles, I would have normally had at least 5 days before ovulating. My body had different plans this time. I just think that you shouldn't be one to throw stones when you said that DD was an "oops." It obviously happens.

    With DD we DTD 3 days before I ovulated.  For this pregnancy, we were trying to get pregnant, so we did it alot so I ha no idea when I got KUed
