Made my own pants extender

Goin out to eat w/ the bf tonight. I haven't gotten any maternity pants yet cause I'm still just starting to show. So I only had one pair of stretchy jeans that work I had to use a hair tie as an extender lol. I put around my button then threw the hole and back around button. Works great for now as long as u have long shirts to wear over ur unbuttoned pants lol.

  • We went out the other night and my jeans were feeling too tight to sit in...So I tried this trick out before we left, but it was a no go.  The zipper wouldn't stay up and you could tell because my sweatshirt didn't cover it.  Plus, I have a big fat booty so it's not enough to keep my pants up, lol.  So I squeezed them shut til we sat down and then unbuttoned them.  Guess I need new pants soon!  I live in PJ pants at home.

  • I've put on quite a few lbs already and I haven't been able to button my jeans for a while, I'm getting to the point of not zipping too so it's belly bands for me lol
  • Loop it through your button hole so it can stay on its own like through itself then use a Bonny pin to lead it through the biggest whole one your zipper pull then hook it onto your button. This will keep your zipper up
  • I did this recently when wearing my skinny jeans.  They would button but uncomfortable with the bloat.  This really helps.

  • This is where a bella band comes in.  Rubber band holds the pants closed-ish, bella band covers up the zipper and button bump, and helps hold everything in place a little better.

FYI the bella band works best (in my experience, at least) when I tuck half in my pants and fold the other half over (instead of all on the outside). I can't find a picture of this, so maybe i'm crazy and the only one doing it...

Ditto! I got the be band at target and now all my pants jeans, work pants, etc. fit great!! I feel like this will help me from buying maternity clothes for at least a few more weeks until I pass 12 weeks.
  • I used the Bella band through my entire last pregnancy. I couldn't find any maternity pants for work that were long enough and looked decent, so I wore my own the whole time with longer tops.
