Asthma

Anybody else have a baby diagnosed with asthma?  We are on that road now.  After a week in the hospital in January with severe RSV and two bad respiratory infections since December.  Thankfully she is responding to breathing treatments and prednisone.

My DS (almost 3) has asthma and it took a long time for the Drs to finally agree. They would always say it's so hard to be sure as a baby but we think it's asthma. He's had it all - respiratory infections, croup, pnuemonia, asthma attack (last 2 required hospitalizations). It takes a lot of careful observation and catching first signs of colds by starting albuterol. We always take the nebulizer with us on trips just in case and now he's on a preventative med too. It is manageable but hopefully he outgrows it. Good luck with your LO.
