I don't personally recognize the OP (which doesn't mean much because I tend not to pay attention to user names) but if she has posted on this board before and contributed fairly regularly, I am pretty sure she is more than welcome to share her happy news.
OP: Congrats and hope you get your sticky baby

I am confused by the bolded. How is a BFP announcement discouraging to others that are trying?
Congrats, OP. I remember seeing your siggy before.

I suppose I am having a harder time with the BFP's of others lately. I also have not been trying as long as many others (5 months), so if I am feeling frustrated by it, I can't even imagine what some of the other ladies feel. I don't mean to take away from OP's original post, I think it is great that she is able to overcome miscarriage and years of TTC. I wish her the best.

We all want a bfp obviously, but if you don't want to read about other's bfp's , I'd suggest you just not click on them. People who are regulars will continue to post their excited bfp moments when they get them, as they should and there will also be more drive by bfp's to look out for!
I would assume that when you get your bfp, you will want to shout it to the world (I know I will want to!), so you have to expect that others wish to do the same.

I don't know of a single reg who hasn't posted their BFP when they get one. I'm on cycle 12 right now, and if I were to get my BFP this cycle, you can bet that I will announce it on here.

Yah, I think posting it on the message board with internet "friends" and telling all your friends and family when you're only 4 weeks along are two different things. We will all be cautious how we spread our news in the real world, but I think posting it on a message board just so you're able to tell SOMEONE is different.

I've been here a longer than 3 days, lurking, like a lot of people. Like PP have suggested, I won't open the BFP's if I'm having a bad day. That was my fault. And Tamma, I hope your day gets better. I am in a shiitty mood myself.

I get that TTC is emotional, frustrating and, for some, a long process, but this board is not called TTC- more than a year and you must have posted X amount of times in order to comment.
You are all adults that act like high school girls.
Ever heard of kill them with kindness. If you're justified, as is the case with this post, let someone say it once and MOVE ON! Do you feel better now that you have ALL mocked or scolded the person who posted?!?
I bet I just made your day because now you all have more material.
Anyways, don't waste your breath, I won't be returning. Not all, but a lot, of you are too intense for me. Good luck TTC, I really do wish you all the blessing of a BFP and a H&H 9 months.
